You bring it to us
Pieces come to the workshop in Sarasota. You bring it in, we go over it together, and it stays with us while the work is done. Please empty drawers and take off glass, mirrors and anything personal before it travels.
Contact
Share a few photos of your piece and the vision you have for it — finish, color, style — and we will review them personally and prepare your estimate. Send them straight from this page, or open the chat if you would rather talk it through.
Photographs are how an estimate gets made, so the more angles the better — the whole piece, any damage, and the underside or back if you can reach it. Every estimate is priced to the piece in front of us, so there is no standard figure to quote you until we have seen it.
Getting your piece here
Nothing moves until you have an estimate you have said yes to. The estimate is free and comes from photographs, so you can find out what the work involves without your furniture leaving the room it is in.

If you can't move it
Transport can be arranged — for the trip in, the trip home, or both. It is not automatic and it is not assumed, so tell us when you send your photos, along with anything that makes the piece awkward to lift: a loose joint, a lifting veneer, a narrow stair.
If you need it kept
Storage is available during a project, for a fee — useful when a room is being redone around the piece, or when there is simply nowhere to put it yet. The rate is agreed with you in writing before any storage starts. It is never applied after the fact.
Workshop and record
Alberto's Furniture Refinishing is the workshop. It is where the stripping, the repair and the finishing happen, by hand, and where you book the work.
Provenance Project is the record. It is our second site, and it holds the documented history of a piece — photographs, what the piece is, the condition it was in, and what we did to it. The record travels with the furniture, so the next owner, an heir, or an adjuster does not have to take anyone's word for it.
You never have to go looking for it. Ask for an estimate right here, and if the piece comes into the shop its record is built as the work happens — same workshop, same people, kept on provenanceproject.app so it outlives any one invoice.
